This museum was built on the base of the house of famous Georgian painter of XX century in 1976. Elene Akhvlediani was studying in France and Italy for years and had made several exhibitions in there. After returning to Georgia the house of Elene Akhvlediani became an art salon, there were held poetry evenings, concerts. There was played Richter, H. Neihaus. More than 4000 paintings which were collected by the painter during her life are kept here. In this museum is kept a great number of photos and documentary information.
